What

DMC Iberia arrives for the first time at Marisquiño as the venue for the final that brings together the best DJs from Spain and Portugal. Considered the world’s leading turntablism competition, DMC tests the creativity, the technique and the ability of participants to use the turntables as a musical instrument.

Where

The competition will take place at the Marisquiño venue, on Samil Beach (Vigo), within the festival's music area.

When

The DMC Iberia final will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2026 as part of the Marisquiño program.

In addition to the finals of the different categories, the day will include workshops, technical demonstrations, and showcases by guest DJs.

How

The competition will feature three categories: Scratch, focused on technique and pure scratch; Classic, based on a six-minute routine; and Open, a twelve-minute freestyle format that allows for more personal approaches.

The winners of each category will earn a place to represent the Iberian Peninsula at the DMC World DJ Championships 2026, the world final to be held in London.

JURY

The Iberian DMC final at Marisquiño will also feature an international reference jury, made up of artists who represent the highest level of turntablism and DJ competitions worldwide. 

Among them stands out DJ Stereossauro (Portugal), 4-time DJ world champion, champion of the DMC Open World 2024 and the Online format, as well as a 2-time IDA world team champion with Beatbombers (2011 and 2016). The jury will also include DJ Pimp (Spain), 4-time DMC Spain champion, Top 5 finalist at the DMC World Championships and 3-time Red Bull Party Rocker champion. Completing the panel is DJ ND (Belgium), international DJ and producer, multiple DMC champion, instructor at the Tomorrowland Academy and responsible for Artist & Culture Relations at Ortofon.

Finalists

After an online qualifying round open to DJs from Spain and Portugal, the finalists who will compete in the grand final of DMC Iberia 2026 at Marisquiño are now known.

The champions of each category will represent Spain in the world finals of the DMC World DJ Championships, the world’s most prestigious turntablism competition.
